11 november 2013 – 26 januari 2014

Heirs of Magic Realism: Representation in Current Dutch Painting
18 februari – 2 mei 1999
This special exhibition, which showcased the work of a dozen Dutch artists, was put together by Estill Curtis Pennington. With this exhibition, Mr. Pennington introduced the work of artists who reflect both a concern with the solidity of things in the formal composition of their work, and an implied subliminal narrative theme. In so doing, he also found links with trends in realist painting in the South.
